Exploring notions of space

Whilst doing exploratory artworks, I look at different materials and how they are shaped. I look at how the lines flow, how different lines touch, I question what I am seeing from a visual perspective, yet I also try and build my own connections.

The nature of my practice involves looking closely at nature whilst also re creating aspects of nature that are invisible to the naked eye. The examples shown here are just a few and only are for illustration purposes. There are many ways I can explore space, occupied or not by other elements. Even the negative spaces between elements offer the possibility to question, I call that the most productive spaces. When nothing is happening, or at least not directly perceived, it means there is an opportunity to create a conversation. Silence is full of meaning. Sometimes what is not said or not seen, or appreciated it as an ‘emptiness’ that is where connections are made.
