The use of technology to capture nature

Whilst visiting the Eureka science centre in Wallasey I came across impressive digital displays of nature. The impact of the surrounding imagery and sound have definitely made me think about the possibilities of display and question how relevant it might be the use of technology to show nature. The combination of high quality images and the good acoustic in the room have definitely created an ideal space to appreciate nature’s colours, sounds, textures. The comfort of the space I think was also key, considering there were mainly soft furnishings (bin bags) this not only helped with the acoustics but also to create a comfortable space, one to sit down and relax.
