Lines of Hilbre

During the ongoing artistic explorations about Hilbre Island’s landscape, I worked on a series of prints using photographs I’ve taken during my trips to the island. The photographs reflect on the lines of Hilbre, those present on the sand, the water and the rocks. As part of the un-disciplinary approach to my project (read more about this here) I allow time for unstructured art making, letting myself be guided by what the visuals of the island tell me. This way I allow a conversation to happen with what I see and what I think I am seeing, whilst also thinking about possible connections, bridging the gap between how the landscape looks like and ways of understanding it.
