Ecosystems
An ecosystem comprises of all the living things in an area and the way they affect each other and the environment (Cambridge Dictionary).
As an initiation to my research project I started exploring how different elements that belong to the land, sea and also products of human activity interact visually. These explorations were carried out by allocating a variety of small elements in petri dishes in order to examine how these can interact morphologically. Questions arose during these observations such as:
What common attributes can be perceived among elements of the sea and the land?
How products from human activity, found on the shores such as plastic, interact with natural elements?
How waste can be used to complement nature, if possible at all? How can human waste can be re used or re-shaped in order to aid nature and not the opposite?
